Creating a Role for the MapR Installer
About this task
To create the role for the MapR Installer:
Procedure
- Log on to the AWS Management Console.
- In the list of Services, under Security, Identity, and Compliance, click IAM.
- Click the Policies link.
- Click Create policy.
- Give the policy a name and a description.

In the Policy Document field, paste the following policy
statement:

- Click Create policy.
- Navigate to Services > IAM > Roles.
- Click Create new role.
- For the role type, select the AWS Service Role > Amazon EC2.
- Filter by Customer Managed.
- Select the policy created earlier.
- Give the role a name and description.
- Click Create role.
